in new Orleans it doesn't look good for the original family.when they find out about a witch working against them they return to new Orleans were they find out who it is. its Esther not only is she trying to kill her children but she has a army of witches by her side. then a big war begins between witches,werewolves/hybrids and vampires . but in mystic falls Esther is causing trouble. she is rising the dead to make her army stronger. Esther wants to destroy vampires but that wont be easy. a war has just begun...
